Impregnating Emulsion

McAsphalt manufactures a complete line of asphalt emulsions for the board and felt industries.

Asphalt-impregnated fiberboard is a lightweight sheathing product made from wood waste that provides a wall with surface and shear strength for frame structures. Typically, exterior grade fiberboard is also coated in fire retardants and asphalt to help resist water penetration.

An asphalt-impregnated, perforated felt, and breathing sheathing paper is an effective weather- and water-resistant sheathing paper applied on sidewalls behind stucco, siding, shingles, or masonry veneer. The sheathing paper is also used under lightweight concrete floors, behind tile, and in areas requiring protection against moisture dust and debris.

Asphalt-impregnated fibre expansion filler is composed of tough, resilient, cellulose fibres securely bonded together with a uniform impregnation of bituminous binder and extruded into strips or sheets.
